Dyuthi Mail privacy policy
This policy covers Dyuthi Mail: the webmail at mail.dyuthitech.in and the Dyuthi Mail apps for iPhone and Android. It says what we store, where your email lives, who else handles it, and how to delete it. Our general notice for the rest of Dyuthi Tech Solutions is at dyuthitech.in/privacy.
Who we are
Dyuthi Mail is run by Dyuthi Tech Solutions, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. We host business mailboxes for organisations. Your organisation's administrator creates your mailbox; there is no public sign-up. Questions about this policy go to privacy@dyuthitech.in or +91 83333 70606 (Mon–Sat, 10:00–19:00 IST).
What we store, and why
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address, display name and password | To sign you in to your mailbox. Passwords are never stored in readable form; mailbox credentials our servers keep to fetch your mail are encrypted at rest. |
| Your email: messages, attachments, folders, contacts in headers | This is the mailbox service itself. Messages stay on our mail server until you or your administrator delete them. |
| Recovery email address, if you add one | For password resets and account alerts. |
| Thread notes, signature, theme and other settings | To show your own notes and preferences on every device. |
| Session records | To keep you signed in. A session ends after 12 hours without use, or when you sign out. |
| Push tokens (a random device identifier from Firebase or your browser) | To send new-mail alerts. Removed when you sign out of that mailbox or turn alerts off. |
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking in Dyuthi Mail, and we do not sell, rent or share your data for marketing. The iPhone app stores your session in the iOS Keychain on your phone.
Remote images and tracking pixels
Emails often contain hidden images that tell the sender when you opened them. Dyuthi Mail blocks remote images by default and shows which trackers were stopped. When you choose to load images, they are fetched through our server so the sender does not see your IP address.
New-mail notifications
Our server checks your inbox for new mail and sends an alert to each device where you allowed notifications. On iPhone and Android the alert travels through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iPhone, Apple Push Notification service. The alert shows the sender's name and the subject line, so those two pieces of text pass through Google and Apple. In a web browser, alerts go through your browser maker's push service and are encrypted end to end.
AI features
iPhone app: AI features are turned off. The iPhone app does not send your mail to any language model, and it tells our server not to run AI checks on mail it syncs.
Web and Android: these apps offer optional AI help: spam scoring, thread summaries, answers to search questions and writing help. Using them, and the automatic spam check that runs on newly arrived mail when you sync from the web or Android, sends the relevant message content (sender, subject and up to a few thousand characters of the body) to a language model. That model runs either on Dyuthi's own server or on NVIDIA's hosted AI service (NVIDIA Corporation, integrate.api.nvidia.com). The result is used only to show you the answer or to file obvious spam in your Junk folder.
Who else handles your data
| Provider | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Oracle Corporation (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) | Your mailbox, backups, and outgoing mail | Hosting our mail and app servers, nightly backups, and relaying the mail you send |
| Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) | Push token, sender name and subject of new mail | Delivering new-mail alerts to phones |
| Apple (Push Notification service) | The same alert text, for iPhone | Delivering alerts to iPhone |
| Your browser's push service | Encrypted alert | Web notifications, only if you turn them on |
| NVIDIA Corporation | Message content you or the web/Android apps send to AI features | AI features on the web and Android only |
| Google Fonts | Your IP address and browser type | Loading fonts in the web app |
Mail you send leaves our servers for the recipient's mail provider, as all email does.
How long we keep it
- Mail and settings: for as long as your mailbox exists.
- Backups: deleted automatically 14 days after they are made.
- Sessions: end after 12 hours without use, or at sign-out.
- Push tokens: until you sign out, turn alerts off, or the token stops working.
Deleting your mailbox or account
Your organisation's administrator can delete your mailbox at any time in the Dyuthi Mail admin console, on the web or in the iPhone app. This deletes the mailbox and all its messages from our mail server and removes your access to Dyuthi Mail. Copies in backups disappear within 14 days.
You can also ask us directly: email privacy@dyuthitech.in from your mailbox. Because the mailbox belongs to your organisation, we confirm with your administrator before deleting it. On request we also delete the notes, settings and push tokens linked to your address.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can raise a grievance about how we handled it. Email privacy@dyuthitech.in or call +91 83333 70606. The rights, response times and complaint process in our main privacy notice apply to Dyuthi Mail too.
Children
Dyuthi Mail is a business service for adults. We do not knowingly provide mailboxes to anyone under 18.
Changes
When we change how Dyuthi Mail handles your data, we update this page and the date at the top.
